Paguera with its three beaches, Palmira, de Tora and de la Romana, has been created with tourists in mind. There can be no other explanation – no port, no transport hub, just a place to be. Paguera is a tourist resort, which is frequented mainly by Germans during the high as well as the low season and attracts many German real estate buyers.

Following the construction of a ring road, Paguera’s main street opposite the beach was converted into a pedestrian zone – now known as Paguera’s Boulevard – and is only open to traffic on rare occasions.

On the ‘boulevard’ in addition to some restaurants, there are mainly leather goods stores, drugstores, boutiques and jewellers as well as the inevitable souvenir shops. The choice of restaurants just above the beach is large and varied. In the vicinity of the boulevard there are numerous hotels and holiday complexes, with international guests.

At the exit to Camp de Mar is the village of Cala Fornells, which was developed for the main part under the guidance of the Russian architect Pedro Otzoup. Directly alongside the sea are Mediterranean residential apartment complexes, which are popular with German buyers.

Above the boulevard and high above the hotel complexes is the Atalaya urbanisation, where very attractive villas with beautiful sea and far reaching views can be found.
