Marineland, Costa d`en Blanes – Entertainment for the whole family
A MUST for a Mallorca holiday or day out is a visit to the Marineland in Costa d`en Blanes, which opened in 1970. Visitors can get to know and experience a unique underwater world and marine animals up close. The show with dolphins (the two male dolphins “Blue” and “Mateo” display their intelligence in varied games) and sea lions (who are in no way inferior to the dolphins in their play instinct) as well as the three aquariums – freshwater, saltwater and Mediterranean – with sharks and exotic fish and picturesque aquatic plants attract visitors from all over the world. There are also penguins, pelicans, flamingos and turtles to see on the extensive grounds right by the sea, and a tropical house with crocodiles, iguanas, snakes, iguanas, poisonous frogs and piranhas. There are also exotic birds from Africa, America and Australia.
Marineland also offers a children’s playground with a water pool and adjacent beach, a mini park with a pirate ship, a train, a pearl diving pool, an adventure playground and a swimming pool. A gift shop sells souvenirs, videos and CDs to remind you of the fantastic shows and an eventful day at Marineland. A restaurant with a large terrace by the sea offers a variety of food and drinks. Free parking is available directly in front of Marineland.
