Bendinat is one of the most sought-after (and unfortunately most expensive) residential areas on Mallorca. The golf course Real Bendinat – royal as the father of the present King has been the honorary president since it was founded - is the focal point of the Real Bendinat urbanisation. The course is quite challenging even for the most experienced golfer, in particular the last nine holes which, due to steep terrain requires that the player be physically fit or that they use a golf cart.
Another important attraction is the Castillo de Bendinat, which can be seen in the distance from the motorway that runs from Palma de Mallorca to Santa Ponsa. The castle was built in the 18th century and until a few years ago was the residence of a noble Mallorcan family. It is still privately owned, including the castle grounds, and thus is not open to the public.
The majority of properties, apartments and townhouses, on the Real Bendinat golf course, were built for the most part by the Bendinat Group and are characterised by their Mediterranean charm and top-quality construction. Detached villas are located in three different areas: in Alt-Bendinat directly overlooking the sea, however availability here is very limited as villas often remain in families for generations. Another area is Anchorage Hill above the entrance to the urbanisation, where three streets on different levels boast remarkable villas whose owners are from all over the world.
The third area is the Real Golf Bendinat (also known as Castillo Bendinat) which overlooks the golf course. Villas located here command fantastic views over the golf course and the sea.
